Of the 35 factories operated by Imperial Brands, one is located in Nederland. Here, in Joure, 11,300 tonnes of responsibly purchased tobacco is transformed under the highest quality standards into commercial products that meet all legal requirements.

OUR HISTORY
In 1736 the factory in Joure was founded by Douwe Egberts to create the iconic coffee, tea and tobacco products. Two and a half centuries later, in 1998, Imperial Brands acquires the factory. Today, Joure includes not only a production but also a testing facility for Imperial Brands, allowing the company to continuously improve the high quality and unique taste of the blends of its finely cut tobacco products.
CERTIFICATIONS
The Joure factory has ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certificates. ISO 50001 is currently in preparation.
